Description

This book studies the dynamics of international industrial and technological specializations over the past 40 years by primarily focusing on two key structural analysis frameworks: the social network analysis and the economic dominance theory.

International Specialization Dynamics presents an overview of the globalization of trade of industrial goods from the end of the 20th Century. Structural indicators are introduced to help visualize the productive transformation experienced by emerging countries and nations in Central and Eastern Europe during their integration into the European Union. This allows us to analyze the forms and dynamics of the commercial dominance phenomena. With regard to technological specializations, the book is devoted to the measurement of the long-term technological resilience of territories and study of the way in which large industrial groups organize their research and development initiatives on a global scale.
