This book presents the main problems encountered in operational research, such as maximum flows, turn management and optimal paths, transport and allocation programs or stock and flow planning. Two main axes are proposed: a simple theoretical approach which details the fundamental mathematics necessary for the comprehension and solution of the main difficulties encountered, and a practical approach constructed around IT tools such as spreadsheets, project managers or flow simulators.
Optimization Tools for Logistics is illustrated with practical and theoretical examples using advanced spreadsheets. It proposes scheduling tools and applications linked to the study of flows as well as exercises with their solutions commented upon for each topic studied.
