Description

This volume of the Biostatistics and Health Sciences Set focuses on statistics applied to clinical research, epidemiology, economics, sociology of health and medical biology.
Medical statistics are a valuable scientific resource for practitioners who want to calculate the normal value of a biological size, assess the reliability of a review or estimate the risk of complication of a medical condition. The statistical programming software R can compile and effectively analyze these medical data for various practical applications.
This book provides a progressive introduction to R whereby readers will be able to perform their own comprehensive analyses. Originally designed for practical instruction, the authors offer a coherent and unified approach to biostatistics techniques encountered in clinical research studies and epidemiology.

Contents
